FURNITURE: Labeled Judson Blake, President Street, Providence, RI, American Empire mahogany card table, the top having canted corners over acanthus-carved pedestal and hairy-carved legs with articulated brass paw feet. Rope leg mahogany card table with bird's-eye panels. North Carolina walnut corner cupboard on bracket base with brass hardware. Figured fruitwood graduated 4-drwr. chest on turned legs with tiger maple banding. Early English mahogany lowboy. Deep dropleaf cherry table on turned legs. Full-sized faux bamboo and bird's-eye maple bed with the carved initials of its original Boston area owner, Stephen P. Knox, descending in his family. 19th c. Japanese Geisha "Missy Box", or dressing mirror. Unmarked 47 in. octagonal top pine chair table, thought to be a Wallace Nutting piece by its similarity to Plate 1768 in Furniture Treasury. Philadelphia style Centennial tripod tip table with elaborately carved base. 49 X 37 in. leaded glass bookcase. Oak and mahogany barrister bookcases. Fancy marble top side table. Bird's-eye maple princess dresser, another mirrored dresser and lady's desk. Fine serpentine form upholstered early Victorian settee. Other fine upholstered Victorian furniture. ACCESSORIES: Late 19th c. carved and polychromed ornamental eagle, measuring 19 1/2 in., with American flag and holding banner with remains of inscription of a store selling "Provisions and Clothing", the eagle found in the basement of that Boston area store decades ago and descending in a local family. 20 in. early 20th c. totem with atypical animals, each with pencilled personality attributes on the reverse. Seashell art gift boxes. Old homemade model of offshore rum vessel. Unusual 11 in. Art Nouveau bronze vase, with the artist's mark, Vavra, the body having three slightly differing faces of a flowered maiden below a dragonfly top.
